Driver CPC

September 2008 (PCV) and September 2009 (LGV) introduced major changes to both industries regarding ongoing training.
European Legislation now require professional drivers of Lorries, Buses, Coaches and Minibuses of all sizes to hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) as well as holding a driving licence.
New Drivers will need to attain their CPC and maintain it with 35 hours of periodic training over a five year period.
Existing drivers (prior to dates above) will require to maintain their CPC gained through 'acquired rights' by undertaking 35 hours periodic training over a five year period starting from the above dates.

Access Learning & Development have been active in promoting the CPC and having attended and spoken at many seminars.
